Random Idea Fridays..

Happy Friday everyone! As some of you know I get this little itches every now and again to change up the good ol' hair color. Some people say that I am better blonde but I now have the itch to mix it up. So I am going into blog world to get some opinions on what I am thinking about and if it will look good or not. So here goes..

Here is what it looks like now...

and this is one I really really want to do but again not sure how it will look on me...
and just maybe keep the ends a little ombre-ish

or here are some other options I like as well
1
2
3
4
or keep it the same and lighten it up and go with something like this..

So you can see here how many things I am thinking about but now I need HELP!!

Ready. Set. GO!!!!!!!

Thanksgiving 2012

As many of you know Brandon and I travel to Indiana for Thanksgiving every year to spend time with his grandparents that can't travel down here as much anymore. Usually we only go for about 3-4 days but this year we were able to go for a whole week!

It was really nice to get out of town and away from work and spend some time together and with the family and while we were there we got to go somewhere I have been wanting to go since the first time I ever went to Indiana with Brandon, SANTA CLAUS, INDIANA!!!!!

So for my close friends you know I am a Christmas fanatic and this was just the little town to visit on our trip because everything was Christmas themed! Our first stop was The Santa Claus Christmas Store.
Poor Brandon suffered through around an hour to two hour adventure with me looking at all the ornaments and trees and snow globes and lights (Kid in a candy store comes to mind) and I even got to meet Santa Claus! I know I know even at 24 years old I still get excited to see Santa.

After the Christmas store it was off to see the Historic Santa Statue and Church
As you can see this statue was unveiled on December 22, 1935 and it is massive!!!

I promise you the picture doesn't do it justice!

After we saw the Santa Statue we walked down a little hill to the Church that they had just relocated from down the road.

I believe this church was built in 1880's and it was so beautiful. It still had some of the original fixtures and stained glass windows.

After the church we went down the road a little ways to the Lincoln National Park. Now what some people don't know is that Lincoln spent a lot of his boyhood in Indiana. While at the National park we visited Nancy Hanks, Lincoln's mother's grave site.

It was really neat to see and at the base of her headstone people have come and thrown in pennies I guess to leave a little bit of Lincoln with his mother.

I even managed to sneak in a picture with the hubbs- can't you see how excited he is...

After our excursion to Santa Claus we headed back to Hatfield and had a lovely week eating, visiting and even getting in a golf game and going to the movies with Brandon's cousins. I couldn't have asked for a better week of vacation.

Until next time,
XOXO

Christmas Decorating

Well as most of you know from my previous posts we are venturing out of town to go to Indiana for Thanksgiving with Brandon's grandparents.

One big thing that I wanted to accomplish before we left we getting up our Christmas decorations around the house. Now I'm sure every one reading it looking over at their calendars and saying to themselves.. Really?! It's only November 16th, BUT every year in the Jordan household we would put up our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving so I always like to have it up close to that time as well. However, this year we will be gone to visit for a whole week so I had to put it up before we left so it would be up for our party the very next weekend for Brandon's birthday.

So I thought since I put it up I would help everyone get into the Christmas spirit and post a picture of our beautiful tree :)

I hope this helps you get into the Holiday spirit :)

Until Next Time,
Jenn

Imitation is the Highest Form of Flattery

Ok so every time I write a post I try to seem witty, smart and  most of all like our life is super interesting. However, for those of you readers who know both Brandon and myself know that we are in fact not very interesting but run around doing random things most of the time.

So thank you to my lovely friend Kristin for the new inspiration I going to incorporate into some "Tidbits" as she calls it into this blog as to cliff note our daily actions and interests.

So this week we leave for Indiana (WHOO HOO!!) and we both cannot wait. We always go up for Thanksgiving however last year we both started new jobs and did not have any PTO to take a nice long vacation but this year we do so we are going for a whole week!!! Which will be the longest we have ever been 1) away from our house and our dogs :( and 2) in Indiana with the family which we are very excited about!! So this week has been very crazy.

Sunday/Monday- I washed all of the clothes AND packed like a crazy person as my husband likes to call me when I get super OCD and wants things done a week early.

Tuesday- I got to go see my FAVORITE hairista Brittany and we got a little crazy with the hair this week and did sort of a reverse ombre' where instead of going from dark to light we did from light to dark and I'm still getting used to it to be honest because I have been majority blonde for such a longer time I still get a little nervous with all the dark but it is growing on me :)

Wednesday- We went around our neighborhood looking for fire wood (enter enthusiasm here) and then we went to walmart for a few last minute trip things then husband took me to dinner at Gringos for a farewell meal as he called it and the biggest highlight of my week was getting to put up my Christmas tree!!  I know it seems really early but since we will be gone for a whole week and the week we get back we are having Brandons birthday party I wanted to get it up and decorated so when we get home it will that much closer to Christmas and my house will be ready :)

Now tonight we pack up Brandon and start getting things finalized around the house and loading up the truck! Only two more days to go and I can't wait!!

xoxo

Bachelorette Parties and Beach Houses

Well as most of you know, Brandon and I are ALWAYS and I do mean always super busy on the weekends. With our extensive friends and family (which we are thankful for) we always have fun activities to partake in and I wanted to share a few pictures from a few pictures that have finally made their way to my email :)

Over the summer I was able to go to my best friend Bri's aunt Bachelorette weekend and we had so much fun dancing, drinking and teaching some of the ladies some drinking games..
Pool Side
Breakfast before heading out for the day
Lingerie Games!!
Teaching the "team" some drinking games :)

Needless to say I think we all learned some things that weekend and cannot wait to do it again!!

Accutane: Before and After

Well as some of you may know I am currently taking a lovely perscription called Accutane. Some of you may have or may not have heard of it but Accutane is a highly sensitive acne medication that is highly government regulated due to some of the side effects that the medication causes. This is currently my second round of taking this since my skin has been so bad. Here are some of my lovely before pictures.

and after 4 months of taking this 3 times a day EVERYDAY and some labs here and there, here are my after pictures..

I am so glad that my skin has FINALLY cleared up! It is always such a challenge to go and hang out with my gorgeous friends who don't have to wear make up everyday and I have cake on the concealer everywhere but now finally I can go without makeup and still feel pretty.

I encourage anyone who is on the fence about trying it to go ahead and do so!

XOXO

Daley Halloween Party

Well this weekend we had our second and final Halloween party for 2012. I mixed it up a little with my outift choice because the temperatures this weekend were going to be a bit too cold for just some leggings and a sheer top, so I borrowed parts of a hippie costume and got to be comfty and warm :)

and of course Brandon was Luigi which was adorable again and everyone loved it!

Here are some more of the best pictures from the night.

Zombie Trix and me after I got cold and went for the hoodie ((lol))

and the best picture of the night

My ADORABLE husband :)

We had a wonderful weekend and cannot wait to see the trick-or-treaters on Wednesday :)

Until the next time

Fulmer Halloween Party

Last weekend Brandon and I had the privilege of having a very busy yet fun filled Saturday. After taking care of the jeep Friday night we got up bright and early and had breakfast with my parents at one of my favorite places, Kelley's, in Pearland. Then we loaded up and headed to Waller for my mom's high school friend, Cami Scarmado's cancer benefit. It was a huge success with so many wonderful people donating their time and auction items to raise money for Cami during this time in her life.

After the benefit we made the long trek back to Pearland and Brandon took the jeep for an inspection while I got ready for our first Halloween party for the year!!

My bestie Bri Kamke invited us to her parents Halloween party down in San Leon this year. So naturally we had to come up with some costumes since you have to come dressed up. Well it worked out perfectly because Bri and I coordinated our costumes and so did her husband Nick and Brandon.

Brandon and Nick decided to be Mario and Luigi from the Super Mario Brothers and Bri and I decided we wanted to be comfortable yet cute so we went with the ever popular "kitty cat" look without being too slutty and as you can see they came our SUPER cute!! We had so much fun meeting new people and also seeing some of the other interesting costumes people made and came as!! One girl and her husband came as Katy Perry and Russell Brand and she even made the entire dress!! It was too cute!!

But none so cute as our boys..

and our course their lovely wives..

Until the next time.
XOXO,
Jennifer

Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Hayford

Just as I promised we got to go back to Indiana for the wedding in August, and when I finally got to start my countdown it got very very exciting!!

We drove this time so Brandon and I had a lot of fun on the 15 hour drive for sure. From plotting our drive..
to watching Brandon use my zebra print travel pillow while on my pink Macbook

However, once we got there it was all about family and getting ready for the wedding! The first night we stayed with his grandparents in Hatifeld, IN and then we drove back to Louisvile the next morning to get checked into our hotel as well as get ready for the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner. Brandon was a groomsmen in the wedding so I did a lot of standing around and being the type A kind of person I am I was trying to give some of my own two sense :)

Brandon, Melanie and I are the Rehearsal

Brandon and I after his groomsmen duties :)

Then it was off to Bardstown Road for the Rehearsal dinner and finally some time to talk to the future Bride and Groom :)
The Groom and I

The Bride Hannah, Me and Brandon

Brandon and the Groom Nick

The two married groups of Hayfords :)

and of course I had to take a picture with one of the best men Logan

And then it was WEDDING TIME!!!

Nick and Hannah got married at a beautiful conservancy in Kentucky and it was the perfect backdrop for them to start their lives together.

and to top it all off- I had the hottest date there

and then once again before we knew it it was time to head home back to Texas and the road trip was just as fun as the first :)

But nothing feels better than seeing that Highway 59 road sign

XOXO
Jennifer
