Twenty Something Weekend

So as many of you know Brandon and I don't really go out and just go hog wild very often. So when this weekend came up on my planner I thought it was just going to be low key weekend with maybe a few highlights.. oh boy was I wayyyy wrong.

This weekend started for Brandon (as most do) on Thursday with margaritas at gringos. I was unable to make it this week due to a prior conflict however the boys didn't seem to mind my absence. When I got home I found my husband out cold in our room so I just quietly slipped into bed and hoped that he was goign to make it to work the next day since he was meeting with a client. Well I was wrong about that- I woke up around 5:45 to get ready for work and I knew Brandon needed to get up so on came the lights and tv in our room (like I do every morning) and he slowly woke up and went into the bathroom- well after about 10 minutes of not hearing much movement I went in there to check on him and finish blow drying my hair and the poor thing is passed out on the floor laying directly on the tile and he looks at me and said "Do not turn on that blow dryer" and so I had to get ready in the other bathroom and needless to say that he didn't go to work on Friday at all.

So after I got off work on Friday I went home to find a super dark house and a sleepy husband. Luckily I convinced him to get a second wind and we went over to our friends Kyle and Rae's house for some delish Crab and Shrimp with their friend Ward, and things quickly escalated to going to R & R for some post dinner drinks and let me tell you the pitchers of beer and apple shots were not in short supply! After we shut the bar down we headed back to Kyle and Raes where I found a comfy spot on the couch and went quickly to sleep. Brandon didn't feel up to staying and since he didn't drink he went home and I was left there with the boys and Rae and the young college men came out in there that night. There was pranks and even a little bit of nudity.

Fast foward to Saturday morning and I found myself stranded with a bunch of boys drinking beer in the drive way at around 9 am-- not my first time to be in such a situation :/ Once I made my way home and got some hydrationg (thanks Rae!) I made my way to my bed for a nice 2 hour nap in preparation for Kristin's Birthday at Top Golf that night.

We made our way over to the Willingham household around 6:30 to pick up the birthday girl and Cacey and we then made our way (old school rap blaring in the truck mind you) over to Top Golf where the fun really began! We had a great time starting the party off in the bar as we waited for a bay (Thanks David, Gloria and Oliver!) and had a few drinks and yummy appetizers and we then got to make our way to our bay for some golf and let me tell you it was so much fun!!

After top golf we decided to head down town to The Brewery Tap where we had a sing off, darts, dancing, and our own personal bar tender (Way to go KT!!) after we all piled up in the truck and my lovely husband was the DD for the night which is good because Rae and I passed out in my back seat on the way home :)

All in all it was a great weekend but this week is definitely time for some detox. I haven't drank so much since I first turned 21. I now remember why.

Until next time,
XOXO

Under Challenged

Recently I have found myself with more and more free time during my work day and I am starting to think that I have been under challenging myself. When I started in my current job almost two years ago ((wow crazy to think its almost been two years)) I was fresh from my office manager position at the dentist office and I went into the medical field which was a completely different experience and I had to learn every thing pretty much from the ground up.

Luckily, I got hired under a wonderful boss that taught me every thing I needed to know and even let me learn different positions that would help challenge me even more while helping to provide coverage to other deparments that need help, however, over the course of the last year I have moved into a new position here and I really do enjoy it, however, I have more and more free time on my hands and I find myself continuing to ask, "Is there anything else I can do?" I am not sure if this is a normal thing to anyone else but I prefer to have my days busy so that they go by faster- anyone else?

So with all that being said, I am wondering if its time for me to find a new challenge?

Ideas Anyone??

Weight Watchers Part One

So for as long as I can remember I've always been super active. Whether it be as a little kid running around with my siblings and the kids in our neighborhood, to school being a cheerleader or playing softball, to college playing some volleyball both in school and after just for fun. However, over the past year or so after Brandon and I got married I have completely fallen off the wagon. We started going out all the time which then turned into us eating out all the time and I just got complacent with being in this whole "newlywed" persona and just didn't care. Well when I got out of that phase and started caring again I noticed things had gotten completely out of hand.

Right around this time I met my fabulous new friend Kristin and she told me how her and our mutual friend Gloria are doing weight watchers and how successful they have been at this program. So after some long and hard time thinking about my options and how disappointed my friends would be if I didn't look good in there weddings this year so I took the plunge and decided to join both the program and get back to the YMCA to work out as well and I can't even begin to tell you how awesome I feel and look!

I have lost a total of 10 pounds so far and it is largely in part to this awesome program.

So I just wanted to share this small personal victory and I titled this part one because I hope to continue with my goals and do a grand reveal in April :)

Unti the next time,
XOXO

Long time gone

Hello old friends. I beyond scattered brained in these past few months that I've completely forgotten to blog! I'm sorry to everyone who is interested in my life :) (insert laugh here)

So, not a lot of things going on with us very new but with the start of the new year I have begun to have more and more wonderful people and oppertunites come into my life. First off being my new bestie Kristin! Not only is she beautiful and smart she is a wonderful person inside and out and is always there for me when I need to vent about my spouse ;)
Second is Rachael- again smart, beautiful and always willing to meet up up for some drinks and girl talk but she is hilarious and always knows to how get me in trouble! Whether it be with old ladies in bars or at her house I alwasy have a great time with her.

Without these ladies I think I would be lost.

I'm going to keep things short and sweet today but I promise to get off my butt and get back to my regular blog routine :)

XOXO
